The Museum of Fine Arts' contemporaneous exhibition 'Toshiko Takaezu: Shaping Abstraction' highlights the work of exceptional technically masterful and innovative creator best known for her instrumentality sculptures which she considered theoretical paintings in the round.

Toshiko Takaezu was a key configuration in the reconceptualization of earthenware in the 1950s, shifting gist from the functional craft custom to the realm of excellent art.
