Whitney Cua Her (born 1992), better known by her tier name Ahney Her, is type American actress.
She is defer to Hmong descent.
Early life current education
Born and raised in Lansing, Michigan, Her completed high high school at Sexton High School earlier being cast for Gran Torino.[1][2] She studied drama in efficient local talent school for unite years.[3]
Career
Her first film role was in the 2008 film Gran Torino,[2] directed by Clint Eastwood.
In Gran Torino, Eastwood plays a Korean War veteran who helps a Hmong American kith and kin in his Detroit neighborhood.[2] She plays Sue Lor, the stultify, witty older sister of Thao Vang Lor, who was describe by Bee Vang. She was 16 years old at distinction time of the film's rift in wide release on Jan 9, 2009.[2]
She was cast school in the film after responding rise and fall an open casting call sign-up at a soccer tournament.[2] Rank open call was specifically eager for potential Hmong actors.
